Just phoned Vodafone to inquire about upgrade options as I am near end of my contract.

I asked if N95 would be available as an upgrade and the customer service guy went off the phone for a few minutes.  When he came back he said if I wait till April 2nd then I will be able to upgrade to N95, although he had no pricing information.

That confirms what I have been told...

Vodafone (and possible O2) 2nd of April
Orange - probably a bit later
T-Mobile - Probably later still
Three - End of April (ish) Roll Eyes

Fingers crossed your O2 date is correct!

I spoke to 02 today and they're saying it has now been delayed till the end of April.....frankly I don't know who to believe.

i spoke to vodafone yesterday and orange today.

guy at vodafone didnt no a huge amount and told me he to hold out untill mid april

orange however was pretty helpful- seemed to know a fair bit.  he told me he had played around with the sample, but was buggy with the orange software.  so it has been sent back and could be till end of april till its sorted!

If that's true then it's bad news for anyone hoping for a N95 on Orange - but at least they are getting it sorted rather than release a "buggy" phone...!

The only networks to be fairly quite at the moment about the N95 are T-Mobile and 3... I hope that no news is good news Wink

My order is for one on TMobile and I enquired if it was still due first week on April to which they replied it was.

I stopped by an O2 shop today to enquire about the release date. I was told that it is scheduled for April 24th. I was also told that on monthly tariffs above £35 the phone was likely to be free if signing up to a new contract.

Vodafone, told me to expect a £75-£100 upgrade on an 18 month contract , double that for a 12 month contract.

I am thinking of stating a new contract, or should I haggle over an upgrade?  Anyone know if you can haggle in store or if it has to be done over the phone?

i've heard the 'phone' can get you better deals, haggling in a shop is usually harder. just be polite and ask for your PAK, as you are looking to get a n95, (as if you dont know they will offer the phone) they should really try to keep you by offering the phone, thats when you should start the haggling. you can always call back and hope a different operater answers who is willing to offer it for a better price. Both me and my friend called orange and got completely different quotes within a few hours of each other! hmm Huh

I emailed them and said I was considering asking for my PAC, because of the N95 mainly, they just said something along the lines of "ok, contact us when you make up your mind and we'll send it you".  So they didn't seem too fussed I am considering leaving!

You will probably find that once you request your PAC - retentions will give you a call  Wink
