hi, great tut - it works a treat! you mentioned posting about how to use the included poi's and camera's... is it just as easy as using garmins poi loader? and for the speed cameras setting proximity alerts? if so, what distance should they be?

many thanks Smiley

Baz it is as you say m8, use the POI loader and as long as the file is correct it will upload to the phone the same way as you put the mapping on, as for proximity alerts then thats down to your own as to how far you want them settings, have a look in the manual in regards to these as it is better explained there.

if you have detailed maps installed it should work fine, if you havent then you must upload them so that the maps can zoom in to your actual location, just having the basemap wont do it, cos it will be very basic

you need to enable this in the settings option on the application itself.

Hi,
with your help I installed Garmin XT on my N95. I have got City navigator on my PC already since I have a GPS for walking. But obviously I cannot download that on my mobile, it is only assigned to my GPS and asks for a unlock code. I tried all.bat and so on, but it doesn't unlock an originally unlocked map. How can I use my maps and unlock them for the N95. Any ideas?
Thank you Sandra

The problem with the all.bat is that it is tied to the city navigator that it came with, so unless you un install your program you all ready got and put the one that is available with the all.bat it wont work..

Hi everybody,

I have Mobile XT already installed in my N95, but I can not see tracks thay I uploaded using MapSource, that tracks were created with a Garmin GPS. When I use MapSource to download the info from my N95, the track is there, but invisible for the mobile. Am I doing something  wrong, or missing something?

Thanks in advance!!!!

Hi I'm a Newby and having difficulty with the Garmin software. I have managed to download what I thought was everything, but when I power up the software, I get all the screens etc but no maps. The map screen stays blank but the little arrow in the center turns as I walk arround. So it is obviously getting a GPS signal. Can anyone help please. Nokia N95 (4gig)

Unfortunately maps have to be downloaded seperately as with any other mobile GPS software. Once downloaded, you have to use the garmin keygen to and punch in a map id according to the map you possess... when you hit generate, you will now get a map unlock code ... once you have this you can use Garmin maploader and choose the areas you want to dowload to your phone, and when ur ready, u send to device in mass storage mode and jus sit back and relax till its complete ...

Hi all,

I have followed the instructions on how to install Garmin Mobile XT onto my N82 (same as N95 without the slide), I have got all the way through with my only problem being able to fix on a GPS signal (after having selected the non bluetooth option)

If I go into Nokia Maps, it picks up the GPS signal quickly and shows it is connected to x many satellites, but it just continually searches on the Garmin software then informs me it can't find GPS.

Any tips on how to get it working?(or free alternatives to Garmin?)

Thanks
