You purchase the voice navigation and the points of Interest (POI) directly from the handset's navigation menu. You can pay by credit card or via your mobile phone bill.
The mobile bill option is slightly more expensive because it sends premium rate (£1.50) text messages in order to pay for the upgrade(s). So if the upgrade you want is £5.80 via credit card it will be £6.00 via text (4 x £1.50 messages)

another places to go for free maps is from maploader itself.

get it at http://www.smart2go.com/en/help/maploader
although its freakin long to download, so best to leave it overnight.

Yes the maps are free from smart2go BUT the voice navigation is a pay add-on and you need to use the N95's menu to upgrade...

Just purchased them myself and the confirmation email indicates as follows :-

If you reinstall the application or change your phone to a new one you need to enter the license code.

I hope this helps?
