anyone else noticed how old nokia maps seems to be? for the UK anyway...

it has lloyds and TSB banks seperate and they merged about 10 years ago!  Huh i know its free but does that mean they have an excuse for such old maps?  Angry

is there anyway of getting more up to date information without paying extra?

I didn't think that physically the Nokia maps were THAT far out of date to be honest - I do admit that TomTom maps are more upto date though...

I think that the problem is - the smart2go people have to create and keep updated maps for 100+ countries, which is probably no easy task.  Shocked

TomTom are working on a "fix" (which should be out anytime soon) that will allow TomTom to work with the N95's internal GPS reciever - so that would probably be your best route (pardon the pun) if you want more upto date map info.

Same here, it has a post office in our village that closed down 6 years ago!    Also doesn't appear to understand one way road systems and often tries to send me down the wrong way!

To be honest I haven't really tried the satnav system "in anger" - but your reports of being sent the wrong down a one way street fill me with total confidence in the system.  Roll Eyes

HURRY UP TOMTOM!

Heard on the other forums that a new version of Nokia Maps is now available but Smart2Go appear to have removed the N95 from their list!!
