Hi all,

Im having a BIG problem with my N95 8GB,

When i try to dial out, i get 'Connection Error'

When i text, it says 'Could not be sent'

I am at wits end with it now and am fed up,

It was on Vodafone UK, but i had it unlocked to go on o2 UK,

Any ideas? Thanks!

Have you tried getting the settings sent to your phone from the O2 website?

Also check to see if you vodafone sim still works in it, if it doesnt then the unlock was corupt i think.

I agree with Bubba1977. It seems that its possible that the unlock method used was corrupt.

Was it ever working with O2?

The best way to check by cancelling down.

Firstly, go to www.o2.co.uk and click the link "Setting Up My Phone"

Fill in the details of your phone, and they will send you configuration messages.

Alternativly, try another sim card/provider, just to see what works, what doesn't etc.

Lastly, if all else fails, see if you can get the phone unlocked again, proffessionally perhaps? Its only around £5!

Regards

I have a vodafone card now and it picks up signal immediately.

I try to dial out though and it says 'Call not allowed'

Where can i get another unlock then?

Unlocking stores usually. You can see them on various High streets or "In Shops".

However, I have been doing a bit of investigating. May I assume that the phone was not "bought" from a store?

I say this only because after a bit of lurking around the internet, I've found that this is most common in phones that have been reported stolen etc. The problems are usually reported by users who have bought the phone unwittingly from someone they know.

May this possibly be the case?

The N95 contains an integrated GPS receiver which is located below the 0 key on the keypad. The phone ships with Nokia Maps navigation software. Maps are free and voice guidance program can be downloaded for a modest fee.
