If it don`t work try, try and try again!!!

« on: 04, November, 2008, 06:17:20 PM »

I have had mobile xt version 5 installed on my n95 for a while now and haven`t had any speed limits displayed, until today i went further away from home. I think that not all roads have this data but most major roads should, i have also installed the speed camera poi`s that i posted the other day but i don`t think that had anything to do with it as it was gone again when i got back nearer to home.

Hope this helps anyone having the same problem i had.

DJm, hi thanks for posting that, if you noticed the speed alert it should appear in the middle top part of the screen, and go grey when your at the same speed and go red when you go over the speed limit, as you said you are very right in saying only for major roads. the speed camera poi's only display on that road and not give you a warning, i am busy at the mo trying to get to change the speed rating to MPH on the front screen as it displays in kph at the mo which i dont like..

Will report back as and when i  have done this.

to change the speed setting to mph go settings, then systems then distance/speed change to statute make sure you transfer the poi as mph/feet. the speed limit option is not what you discribed it comes up in the middle of the screen on the left hand side as a white circle with a red outer and the road speed limit in it, like the actual road signs it changes as you drive eg 30, 40, 60 but as i said it doesn`t work on all roads i have only had it work on one road so far. Excelent when it works though. Hope you find this useful and you can get it to work aswell.  Dave

hiyah all, i have the same problem with the speed limit indicater as well. I dont think it has anything to do with the speed camaras poi installed as i have the europe 2008 speed cams installed (which works very well) and i only get the speed limit signs on main roads. Better than nothing though, no?  Wink
