Mail for Exchange and RoadSync - time zone issue affecting calendar sync

Wondering if anyone's had issues with MFE or RoadSync calendar syncing being affected by a mysterious time zone issue?

Specifically, I've been using MFE for months (successfully) with my N95, typically syncing email, calendar, & tasks.  A few weeks ago the calendar sync started failing - email and tasks ok, just the calendar would give the oh-so-helpful "system error! please try again later" message.  No updates or application changes were made to the N95 except the firmware upgrade many weeks prior to the issue appearing (running 20.2.011, 13-05-08, RM-160).

After working with our tech staff on the Exchange server side, it appears that the calendar sync request is coming in with a time stamp 6 hours ahead of my phone / Outlook / laptop time (all are set to US Mountain DST).  So the time stamp that the server sees for the N95's sync request comes in +6 hrs, or GMT without DST.  Emails composed and sent in MFE appear to have the correct (US MDT) time stamp. 

We've tried changing the N95 settings to use both network operator time and time zone, as well as manually setting the time / time zone.  Also have tried wiping the server profile several times, rebuilding the phone MFE profile, uninstalling / reinstalling MFE, resetting all factory settings and repeating all of these steps.
I also tried using RoadSync to see if it was a MFE issue - however, RoadSync had the same issue.  And its (better) verbose logging shows the same 6-hour offset, which is causing the sync to choke on any late-evening (US Mountain DST) events that would, in effect, be interpreted as pushing forward 6 hours and therefore spanning two dates.

Just wondering if anyone has encountered this, and whether there is a setting on either the N95 or the exchange server side that could account for this effect.
