the advantages are, that there may be some bugs still left in previous version, so they roll out a new firmware to eradicate them, plus with new technology comes news apps and so these get included with new firmware aswell..

As far as i am aware its not possible to roll back, unless there is something on the Nokia website that i have missed, but essentially going for newer firmware version should make your phone more streamlined, run faster, extend your battery power, shape icons, refine icons, re arrange them in a familiar place..

Always update as you get the best you can get from the phone. Something that didnt work may work in a newer version..hope this helps

Hi, I just completed the steps to try upgrade the N95-4 from V20.2.005 to latest available for Euro units...  V30.0.015
I completed product code change, but it seems like NSU checks both the product code AND current firmware version to suggest updates, and mine is not supported...

Any ideas out there?

hi, i never got problem with upgrade(since v10. I forget which version was). but now i've pick the wrong version, v35. they all said this version is unhackable!! is'it true?. i've try every hack method. never works.
if yes, can i downgrade to v20 without using cable and box?. again, they said v20 is the most stable ver to hack.

Do you have the N95 or the N95 8gb, please specify. if you change the code to euro 1 then go through the NSU PROGRAM IT WILL UPDATE, AFTER IT HAS DONE THAT CHANGE IT BACK TO WHAT CODE IT SAYS ON THE white label under the battery
