GPS Data Application (Navigation mode)

Dear All, I am using the GPS Data application - navigation mode, It shows the direction to the selected landmark and the distance, it is very useful in the areas where there are no maps such as desert, My question is how can we turn on the backlight, it is on only for the time defined on the phone (MAX 60 Sec.), is there anyway that I can make it on always untill I exit the application same as the maps application.

In Maps, click Options>
Settings>
General>
Backlight....
One of the options is - Always On"
   This has Backlight on whenever Maps is active.
Another option is - "On during Navigation"
    As it sounds.
