hiyah guys and gals, i'm looking for any info regarding fring, i've been looking around the net and basicly what i understand is that if you have access to wifi you can make calls through skype and have your skype account charged and not your mobile phone bill, Would anyone that has this program give me a bit of a run down on it and their own opinion on it and if they recomend it or not. thanks a lot.

i used it before, found it really is like a messenger type program, didnt like it as it had to open another screen to chat to others, but i wouldnt recommend using it over gprs network, only wifi cos of data usage

I have a n95 8gb on three uk they have skype preinstalled up to 4000 sype to skype mins a month for free. It uses voip which some networks (vodafone and t mobile) remove from the n95`s functions. I think it works really well i talk to my family including my brother in Australia for free.

hi again, thanks for replies guys, what im wanting to do is get skype installed on my mobile and my mobile wont let me, i installed fring but it wont let me install skype through the add ons link, ive tried a direct download as well which failed, do yous think that by de branding and up grading my firmware to 30 might help ? Any and all sugestions appreciated.

hello, no worries guys, got it sorted got my phone upgraded to version 30 reinstalled fring then skype and all working fine. Cheers. ( good thing with fring is you can set it to just use wifi connction so no nasty supprises with the phone bill    )

thats good simon, glad it worked..seems like ver 30 irons out a lot of problems users might have had in the past.
