My N95 is driving me to distraction. It slows to a crawl or even a complete halt all the time during any number of operations. It crashes all the time and becomes completely unresponsive to the point I have to remove the battery to switch it off in order to switch it back on again. The web browser can only ever manage a couple of pages before giving the message "Web: No gateway reply". When this occurs there is no chance of further browsing without switching the phone off and back on again. My Netgear router happily communicates wirelessly with several other computers in the house. I was very excited about getting an N95 but having had it for three days I''m on the verge of sending it back. Any ideas?

happens to me sometimes... but nothing unbearable... i suppose with the 1st release u can always expect problems. maybe try to cope for a while then return it, i'm thinking abt doing that as well so my replacement will be a corrected version.

You have too many applications running, have a look at taskman, (best taskman) It helps you con trol it, I use it on every symbian S60 3rd edition phone . OK it means purchasing software but I prefer being in control of my phone, not the phone of me!

When ever you phone is running low. Hold down the Menu key, and a menu pops up on the left. This will show any active applications, it may help closing any of those down.

Also a slow running phone can be down to the memory card also, if applications, themese, programs are accessing the card at the same time.

Try backing up the media and data on the card, and re formating it. Then re loading the media back on again.

Also, it can run slow if you have low memory or storage on the phone memory it's self. Move all media to the memory card, and ensure your SMS folders are clear, along with any logs.

Try changing the network mode to GSM when you get the error message "Web: No gateway reply". Some time the 3G coverage can be weak yet your fone will still try to use 3G part of the network.
