hiyah again, i can connect to some open wifi and not others, but the others i can connect to with my lap top. Is this anything to do with the frequency range the phone is scanning or any other reason, or is it just sods law ? many thanks Wink

Most free wifi sites have portals that you have to go to and accept there terms and conditions and then make you go through a free log in procedure, you might need to open your web browser on phone and then go through this procedure, once you have logged on to there portal you are free to surf using a 3rd party browser.

I did this in a Bar i was in that had free wifi, but i needed to log in via there main portal, once in i could then surf the net and pretty fast aswell..
